I recently received the MR-1 from Melonare I was a little skeptical at first about sound quality from these Wireless IEMS but I’ve used these two times in a live setting and at least two times in practice sessions we have a band that consists of five people and we ran five receivers off of one transmitter just fine. The sound quality is awesome for such a small body pack and transmitter. We tried them stereo and mono but we finally decided on mono so we could just use one earbud and still hear the stage sound from the other ear. These things are amazingly easy to pair you basically just turn them on and they are paired up. They advertise 130’ wireless transmission and as long as there was absolutely nothing between your body pack and the transmitter that may be so but I did have a few drop outs being just 15 to 20 feet away but there was 8 wireless mics and a wireless transmitter and receiver for our speaker going at the same time. The drop outs was just for a split second and not a problem in my opinion almost not even noticeable. The one con I did have was you basically only have three volume options and they are big jumps between one another the loudest is where I left it and just fine tuned the adjustment on the mixer the second volume down is very quiet and the third cuts out the sound all together it would be nice to have more range in the volume and less of a jump between them but it’s not a major problem. The build quality is nice they are plastic but not cheap or toy like feeling the belt clip is sturdy. They come with charging cables and various adapters to use between stereo and mono etc. if your looking to get into wireless IEMs especially if your looking for something small with a big sound and not break the bank then I would highly recommend the Melonare MR-1.
